The privacy statements announced by the CEO Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook created a question of actual privacy of Facebook users.
The press release on December by the Facebook group created a serious issue. Those December changes led the Electronic Privacy Information Center, together with the Center for Digital Democracy, the American Library Association, the Consumer Federation of America and other privacy organizations, to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The user data can be accessed without the permission of the user using some specific application's. Even if the user is not using the application, their friends who uses the application can grab user data of any individual.
The construction of Facebook is now questioned for honor and privacy. The users can control over their posts but they cannot control what Facebook is providing to the third party applications. If Facebook continues this the reputation will be at risk.
Facebook users should be aware of what is going on right now.
